Why Clients Choose SOG Defense
Our network isn’t open to anyone who fills out a form. It’s built on years of intelligence work, real ground operations, and relationships formed the hard way, not a paperwork review. Many of these are people we’ve deployed alongside ourselves, teammates and long-standing contacts, not names off a form. When you work with SOG, you’re contracting with us directly, and we stay accountable for the outcome because we’ve already worked in these countries, with these companies, ourselves.

Who are we?
SOG Defense is led by active field operators with real intelligence and protective-operations experience across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.
That background, protective operations, movement security, mission support, and intelligence work in unstable or politically sensitive regions, is what shaped how we judge a partner: watching how someone actually performs under pressure, not what’s written on their license.
We built SOG Defense because we’d seen good clients placed with providers who looked right on paper and weren’t. Every partner in our network passed the same test, most of them people we’ve deployed alongside ourselves, and every engagement runs through us, under contract, not just a name we handed over and walked away from.
Our Principles
Proven Network
Every partner has been assessed directly, in the field, not on paper, so clients work with people who are genuinely ready.
Deterrence
Visible preparedness and credible capability matter most, we only connect clients with partners who can prevent escalation before it starts.
Judgement
Years of ground experience shape how we judge a partner, judgment a license review or checklist simply can’t replicate.
Operational Reality
Our approach is shaped by real-world conditions, exactly what we screen for when judging whether a partner can perform under pressure.
Standards That Don't Stop At Onboarding
Being part of our network isn’t permanent. Partners are expected to keep performing at the level that got them in, and if that changes, they’re removed. That’s what makes working through SOG different from going direct, we stay on the contract, so the standard doesn’t stop the day the engagement starts.
